James Jean Fanart - Mizu 3D Sculpt

For the past year I've been teaching a digital sculpting workshop at Escena Animation School. The objective of the course is for my students to create a fully sculpted character from scratch, and for this particular term I decided to do a 3D reinterpretation of a James Jean character and captured a timelapse of all the work done in Zbrush. There was some additional topology work done in Modo for the base meshes, as well as some texturing work done in Mari that did not show up in here, but everything else was pretty much captured from ZSpheres to final sculpt. The original design comes from a James Jean illustration that I love, and which you can see here: jamesjeanart.tumblr.com/post/100177787764/mizu-ink-and-digital-9-x-12-2014
